For guests at Kapoho Beach Lots we have provided this brief orientation that we hope will make your stay more enjoyable.

Following are some basic points of information:

ROADS AND ACCESS – All the roads within the subdivision are private property.  The roads and accesses are maintained by the Kapoho Beach Community Association.  Please drive slowly and use extreme caution as many residents, and pets, enjoy the pedestrian use of our roads at all hours...and we do have small children in the subdivision; we can’t always be sure they will remember to “look both ways”!

GATE AND PARKING ETIQUETTE– Our gate opens electronically using an electronic gate pass.  Only one car at a time can pass through and no “tailgating” is allowed.  A "ONE VEHICLE PER GATE OPENING" sign is posted on the front of the gate for all to see.  If you are having guests over, please arrange for their entry through the gate either in person with a hanging gate pass or via the call box which will call the owner's home, where the answering party can open the gate by pressing "9" on the home phone.  Please make sure they know how to get to your property.
Once inside, guests are required to park on the owner’s property, or on the property that is being rented.  If they must park on the roadway, it should be fronting your property, but must be off the road.  Any other parking situation could cause the car to be towed away at the owner’s expense.  Due to liability concerns, "dirt bikes," ATVs (all terrain vehicles) and other unlicensed vehicles are prohibited from entry and use of KBCA roads.

WATER ACCESS – A copy of the map for community owned ocean access paths to Kapoho Bay and related information can be found via the "Access to Kapoho Bay" link on the left side of this website, and should be provided to you by your property owner.  Please note which are considered unsafe and follow all guidelines.  Please use these locations to access the ocean and do not trespass on private property.  Seawalls and landings fronting the bay are the private property of the landowners and are not to be walked upon.  As always, please use caution as all accesses are USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH – The community has no active Neighborhood Watch program in effect.  If you would like to report a problem or any suspicious criminal activity you can do so by calling the police non-emergency number 808-935-3311.

GENERAL COURTESIES – Please be considerate of your neighbors with regard to noise between the hours of 10 PM and 7 AM.  We all deserve the peace and quiet that is a source of pride and distinction for this residential community. 

Hawaii County law requires that, if you have a dog, it must be on a leash when not on your property.  For the safety of the residents of the community, as well as that of your pet, please keep your dog confined to the property or on a's the county law!
